چکیده
Resistance exercise (RE) can lower blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, greater clarity is needed regarding the RE intensity and time required for this acute response. Therefore, aim of study was to compare responses on second day recovery from moderate vs. high-intensity women T2D. Twelve T2D (55.2 ± 4.0 years; 70.1 11.4 kg; 155.7 3.3 cm) performed two experimental sessions seven days apart a randomized order. For session 1: RE40% one-repetition maximum test (1RM) 2: RE80%1RM, 16 8 repetitions each set, respectively, 7 exercises 3 circuits during 40min. Blood monitored over 35h (first day: 24h 11h) every 5 minutes after by Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (Guardian REAL-Time model). Student's t-test showed no significant difference (11h) RE40%1RM RE80%1RM [respectively, 161.3 62.3 mg.dL-1 157.2 41.9 mg.dL-1; t (11) = 0.259; p 0.800]. Two-way ANOVA repeated measures that hour differences between [F (1.731, 19.039) 0.688; 0.734]. We concluded high did not differ among

Effects of Short-term Exercise Program on Blood Glucose, Lipids, and HbA1c in Type 2 Diabetes
OBJECTIVE: For decades, exercise has been considered as a cornerstone for managing diabetes. The current study aimed to determine the effects of short-term exercise on blood glucose, lipids and HbA1C in type-2 diabetes mellitus. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 61 diabetic patients were randomly selected. Later, subjects with capability of doing exercise took part in a special four-week exerc...
متن کاملThe Effect of Aerobic Exercise on Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Women with Type 2 Diabetes
Objective: Cardiovascular complications are the major cause of reduced lifetime in diabetic patients. Given that physical activity can play an effective role in reducing these complications, the current study was conducted with the aim of examining the effects of 8 weeks of aerobic exercise on some cardiovascular risk factors in women with type 2 diabetes. Materials and Methods: Twenty women w...
متن کاملThe Effect of Resistance Exercise on Blood Glucose, Insulin and Insulin resistance in Iranian Patients with Type II Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
Objective: Resistance exercise is recommended as effective treatments for people with type 2 diabetes. However, the impact of this mode of exercise on blood glucose, insulin and insulin resistance in Iranian's type 2 diabetic patients is unclear. We conducted a systematic review of the literature for the effect of resistance exercise training on these clinical markers in Iranian's type 2 diabet...
متن کاملEffects of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) On CTRP1 and CTRP3 in Women with Type 2 Diabetes
Background: Family members of C1q/tumor necrosis factor (TNF) related proteins (CTRPs) have been shown to play an important role in metabolism and inflammation. However, there is limited information on the association of high-intensity intermittent exercise (HIIT) with CTRP1 and CTRP3 protein levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effects of 12 weeks...
متن کاملacute aerobic exercise and plasma levels of orexin a, insulin, glucose, and insulin resistance in males with type 2 diabetes
conclusions it seems that in people with type 2 diabetes, acute aerobic exercise can decrease the plasma levels of glucose, possibly through increasing orexin a. in addition, negative energy balance is necessary to decrease the levels of insulin and insulin resistance during acute aerobic exercise. results the analysis of findings in p ≤ 0.05 indicated that acute aerobic exercise caused a signi...
